Hours of Operation

7 Days: 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Special times on request, extra fee may apply.

Closed on: 24, 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 and 2 January. 

License Requirements

Drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a full drivers licence. Licences from the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia are accepted in NZ for a period of twelve months. International licences apply for all other nationalities.

Daily rates


Rates are on a per-calendar day basis, the day of pick up or drop-off is always counted as a full day irrespective of what time it is collected or dropped off. The daily rate includes airport transfers on arrival, unlimited kilometres, standard insurance, 24 hour breakdown assistance, extra driver fees, diesel tax and GST (Goods & Services Tax 15%).
Discount rates may apply for hires over 21 days and 31 days.

Minimum Hire


The minimum hire period is 14 days.
 Shorter periods may be available subject to availability.

Insurance


At Good Life Motorhomes we strive to provide our customers with an enjoyable 'hassle free' holiday. We have found that the most common accidents are minor dents and scrapes or windscreen damage to the vehicle, so we have developed a system to help take the worry out of your trip. Excess liability is per event.

* Maximum excess is valid per event. 
**Capped at max. $1250 for GL2 and $1500 for GL3.
With options GL3, GL2 the Security Deposit amounts are not deducted from your credit card.
The minimum age is 21 years. Drivers aged between 21 years and 25 years have a minimum excess of $3000.00, which will be debited, regardless of the insurance package chosen.


Hassle Free Options

These are comprehensive insurance options to enable you to reduce your excess. They include 3rd party insurance and public liability (up to a maximum of $1m in the event damage is caused either to our vehicle or to a 3rd Party). You are also covered for minor dents and scrapes, flat batteries, tyres and windscreen replacement up to the value of $300.00. A Security Deposit applies as set out above. This is taken as an imprint of your credit card and is held. It is fully refundable at the end of the hire providing the motorhome is brought back clean & tidy with waste tanks empty, toilet cassette empty, LPG gas bottle full, fuel tank full and all accessories accounted for.
Standard Cover

Standard insurance covers the motorhome for damage and 3rd party insurance in excess of $3000. You are also covered for public liability up to $2m. A Security Deposit of $3000.00 is required and this must be in cash or can be debited from your credit card. It is fully refundable at the end of the hire providing the motorhome is brought back clean & tidy with waste tanks empty, toilet cassette empty, LPG gas bottle full, fuel tank full and no damage to the vehicle or any of the accessories.

Personal Insurance


We strongly advise that you take out personal insurance to cover your health and your belongings. Please do not leave items of value unattended in the vehicle.

Bookings


• A 20% booking deposit will be debited from your credit card
• Final payment is due 4 weeks prior to commencement of travel
• We do not accept American Express credit cards

Important


1. All vehicles are kept in a safe, road worthy condition. In the event of this situation changing you must contact Good Life Motorhomes Ltd straight away to rectify the problem.
2. If the vehicle is damaged or needs repair or salvage, the hirer must advise Good Life Motorhomes Ltd as soon as practicable.
3. Traffic infringements are the responsibility of the hirer.
4. Smoking or pets are not permitted in any of our vehicles


Cancellation fees

If the booking is cancelled the following rates apply:

  • 21 days prior to pick up. Deposit is not refundable; all other rental payments refunded.
  • 20-7 days prior to pick up. Deposit +20% of total rental payment is not refundable.
  • 7-0 days and 'no shows': Deposit and  Full rental fee is not refundable.


As we like to work on a fair basis, we will always try to find other customers for the cancelled trip and refund the days proportionally that the campervan is rented out to other people.
There is no refund if the vehicle is returned early.


One Way Fee

A one way rental fee of $200.00 is charged for rentals between the North and the South Islands and vice versa.
Change of Vehicle
If the requested vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of the same or better standard at no extra cost. If an alternative is not available our liability shall be limited to a full refund of the days the campervan was not accessible.
